West Kelowna Warriors puck stopped by Cranbrook Bucks
Edouard Gauthier made 31 saves in the loss

It was a defensive showdown in West Kelowna on Friday, Feb. 21 as the Warriors fell 1-0 to the Cranbrook Bucks in BCHL action.

Patrick Murphy scored the game's lone goal on the power play at the 14:52 mark of the second period. His 18th of the year was assisted by Rasmus Svartström and Matthew Gilmore.

Edouard Gauthier made 31 saves in the loss for the Warriors while Miles Roberts went a perfect 29/29 to earn the shutout.

West Kelowna is now 17-20-5-2 while Cranbrook is 24-15-2-0.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday night as they welcome the BCHL-best Penticton Vees to Royal LePage Place. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Bucks take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at 6 p.m.
