Rogers gifts Swiftie fan with cancer tickets to B.C. concert
Kelsey Carignan is a lifelong Swiftie, who has touched countless lives with her own resilience and acts of kindness.
Rogers Communication announced Friday they are recognizing this Langley-based yoga instructor and mom for all she's does for others by gifting her family tickets to the Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour in Vancouver this weekend, said Laura Crochetiere, Rogers' senior communication manager.
Recently diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, Carignan still continues to live life to the fullest while inspiring her community through her yoga practice, mentorship of cancer patients, and annual holiday toy drives, said Crochetiere, who share Carignan's "extraordinary story."
"Her commitment to kindness is a testament to her strength and determination," she said, noting that Rogers is "thrilled" to give the family of four the chance to attend this unique concert.
Carignan, who will be accompanied by her husband and two young boys, said this is more than a night of music – it’s a chance to create cherished memories with her loved ones.
"What I really love about Taylor is her profound kindness," noted the Langley mom.
"She has this unique ability to leave everything (and everyone) better than they were before... She shows us how being vulnerable is really a strength and that we can be hurting but still go on. I am determined to continue that ripple effect of kindness not just on the good days, but on the hard days too because I know in my heart that this is how we change the world."
