Sydney Sweeney wore sequinned underwear to Miu Miu's Paris show

It looks like the trouserless trend is back for another season, according to Sydney Sweeney.

The actor showed up to support Miu Miu at the label’s autumn/winter 2024 show in Paris yesterday and, instead of trousers or a skirt, opted for silky white underwear covered entirely in silver sequins and beads.

The Anyone but You star wore the underwear over sheer black tights from Calzedonia, with a cropped black and white tank top and a long black blazer with a frayed edge. From different angles, the blazer mimicked the hem length of a mini-dress, giving her Fashion Week ensemble a sophisticated touch.

Sweeney finished her statement-making look with a pair of silky black platform peep-toe heels, a quilted mini handbag, and black sunglasses, all from the fashion house. She kept her jewellery to a minimum, with a pair of large white diamond stud earrings, keeping the focus on her shimmering briefs. As for glam, the Miu Miu ambassador wore rosy make-up and a messy, side-parted long bob.

Fashion fans may recall that Emma Corrin debuted the sequin underwear when she walked down the runway for Miu Miu’s autumn/winter 2023 collection last year. On the catwalk, it was styled with a beige jumper, sheer black tights, and caramel-coloured peep-toe heels. Corrin also wore Miu Miu underwear — with a matching cardigan, tights, and brown wingtip oxfords — to the Venice Film Festival that September.

The underwear-as-outside-clothes look has also been championed by celebrities including Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, who single-handedly brought back everyone’s love of tights in 2022 with her ultra-chic no-trousers look.
