Freezing rain warning for London, parts of Midwestern Ontario

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for London and parts of Midwestern Ontario.

The affected areas are:

• Huron County
• Perth County
• Middlesex County
• Oxford County

Environment Canada warns of ice accumulation on some surfaces.

“Freezing rain or freezing drizzle mixed with snow is expected to develop Sunday afternoon and may continue into this evening,” said Environment Canada.

“The freezing rain is expected to transition to drizzle as temperatures moderate through the overnight.”

It’s expected to extend into Sunday evening, however the weather agency said there is still some uncertainty around the timeline.

The OPP reminds drivers to adjust their driving according to the weather and plan trips accordingly.
