GT 6T: Realme to bring Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 power to India in form of upcoming smartphone
India is due to get its first-ever Android smartphone with the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm soon. It is on the way courtesy of Realme, which seems to have upgraded the GT 6T's large battery with faster charging than that of its China-only counterpart.
Realme promises gaming free of frame-drops on the upcoming GT 6T thanks to the device's new silicon: the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which, when coupled with the smartphone's new hype-shots, strongly suggests that it is a twin of the GT Neo6 SE for the Indian market.
Then again, this re-brand is shaping up to be less basic than others already. Realme has confirmed that the 6T will have an on-trend 5,500mAh battery - with 120W charging, as opposed to 100W in the original Neo6 SE.
Realme asserts that this spec bump confers the ability to charge by 50% (1 day's worth of battery, apparently) in just 10 minutes. Then again, it has yet to confirm whether the Indian version of the device will hang onto the SE's groundbreakingly bright LTPO AMOLED display or not.
All will be revealed on May 22, 2024 at 12:00 IST (08:30 CET), when the GT 6T joins its Neo 3 forebear on Amazon.in.
