Randy Moss Says He’s Battling A Serious Health Issue
On Sunday (December 1), Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss announced he’s facing a serious health issue.
While he did not reveal any specifics about the illness, Moss solicited his fans to pray for him and his family on Instagram.
“Throughout the week of the holidays, your boy has been battling something internal,” Moss shared in a video. The caption of the post read “get (your) checkups.”
“I just ask for all the prayer warriors … to put their blessing hands on me and my family through these hard times,” Moss continued.
On the set of “Sunday NFL Countdown”, Moss explained why he’ll be wearing sunglasses.
“I just wanted to share something with you all. And I put a post up maybe a few minutes ago on Instagram just telling people. You were talking about my eyes last week, “Moss said. “I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally.”
“I have some great doctors around me. And I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys,” he continued.
During the broadcast, Moss reiterated that he’ll be wearing sunglasses while on camera.
“If y’all see me with these … it’s not because I’m being disrespectful because I’m on television. It’s because I’m battling something,” Moss told the audience.
Since he announced his health struggle, Moss has received an outpouring of support from fans who praying for him and wishing him the best.
Hailed as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time. Most played 14 seasons in the NFL. Playing with the Minnesota Vikings, the Oakland Raiders, and the New England Patriots, Moss became a superstar in the league.
Throughout his legendary career, Moss had 15,292 receiving yards and 156 touchdowns.
In 2018, Moss was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
