Thousands of users are reporting issues accessing Microsoft Outlook email as well as the tech giant's suite of Office 365 software on Monday.

Downdetector, which tracks website outages through reports submitted by users, was showing 8,707 outage reports for Outlook as of 12:30 p.m. and 5,387 user issues with Microsoft 365, formerly Office 365.

At around 9 a.m. Monday, Microsoft announced it was deploying a fix through its official Microsoft 365 Status account on X.
At around 11 a.m., Microsoft provided an update, saying the fix had reached about 90% of affected environments, and its targeted restarts were continuing.

On X, Microsoft said it was "investigating an issue impacting users attempting to access Exchange Online or functionality within Microsoft Teams calendar."

As of 12:25 p.m., Microsoft said progress on the fix was moving slower than anticipated. The company did not have an ETA for a resolution.
