A weather front off a low-pressure system centred over the border of Ontario and Quebec has brought downpours and winds to the Maritimes gusty enough to create some power outages. New Brunswick Power is reporting outages in several areas of the province, including Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton. The outages are affecting thousands of customers, and crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible.

If you are experiencing a power outage, it is important to stay safe and be prepared. Make sure you have a supply of fresh water, non-perishable food, and a flashlight with extra batteries. Do not use candles as they can be a fire hazard. If you see a downed power line, stay away and report it to NB Power immediately.
