'Fantastic Four' MCU Reboot Cast Officially Announced: Meet Marvel's First Family
After years of much speculation, the MCU reboot cast of Fantastic Four has been officially announced.
Ever since Kevin Feige announced a reboot of Fantastic Four set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe back in December 2020 for Disney Investor Day, nonstop speculation regarding the cast of the new iteration of Marvel’s First Family ran rampant amongst fans. Now, the four performers set to bring these beloved characters to life in the MCU canon have been revealed.
After years of anticipation, Marvel revealed MCU‘s Fantastic Four will be played by the following performers: Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm AKA the Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch.
The Fantastic Four characters were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, with the team making its first comic book appearance in 1961. The previous Fantastic Four movies, while popular, were not well-received by fans or critics, and Marvel Studios has an opportunity to right the wrongs of the past and deliver a feature that is true to the spirit of the comics.
Director Matt Shakman is actively engaged in the pre-production phase of the Fantastic Four reboot at Pinewood Studios in England. The script for the Marvel Studios film was penned by Josh Friedman, best known for his work on 2005’s War of the Worlds and the Apple TV+ series Foundation.
Fantastic Four opens on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
