Penn Manor Productions will present the musical The Addams Family, School Edition March 10, 11 and 12 at Penn Manor High School.

The musical is the first to be performed live in the high school’s new Ranck Auditorium. It also marks the 50th anniversary of musicals at Penn Manor High School, which presented its first musical in 1972, the same year the school’s thespian troupe was chartered.

Here is a listing of all the musicals performed over the years.

Addams Family Showtimes are 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10; 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12; and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12.

A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, The Addams Family, School Edition features an original story that is every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met.

And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia.

Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

The cast includes Kaleb Kabakjian as Gomez, Grace Fafel as Morticia, Colin Rost as Uncle Fester, Elizabeth Lebo as Wednesday, Ava Wolfersberger as Pugsley Addams, Amber Floyd as Grandma Adams and Maximillian Ponton as Lurch.

The show marks the directorial debut of Lauren Ciemiewicz, Penn Manor’s choral director.

Best wishes to all involved in this upcoming show!
