Public Health Ontario is already reporting 60 cases of Lyme disease this year while tick removal kits are “flying off the shelves.”

- At least 1,920 Lyme disease-spreading black-legged ticks have been reported across Canada this year.
- In Ontario, 1,181 black-legged ticks were spotted so far this year. 628 of these were found on a human.
- At least 60 cases of Lyme disease have been reported in Ontario as of March.
