NFL Honors: Live updates on Browns up for awards, new Pro Football Hall of Fame class

The NFL is handing out its top awards Thursday night, as well as introducing the Pro Football Hall of Fame's newest members.
It's all part of the NFL Honors awards ceremony, which has become an annual event ahead of the Super Bowl. The Cleveland Browns will have a presence at the event, with two players and two coaches as finalists for awards.

Cameron Heyward wins NFL’s Walter Payton Award
Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cameron Heyward the Walter Payton Award, which was presented by Britain's Prince Harry. Heyward, a former Ohio State star, was honored for his many charitable works throughout his NFL career.
"I'm in shock. That's Prince Harry," Heyward joked when he took the stage to accept the evening's final award.
Lamar Jackson of the Ravens wins NFL Most Valuable Player
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is the Associated Press Most Valuable Player. He led the Ravens to the AFC North title and a spot in the AFC Championship Game.
Browns quarterback Joe Flacco wins NFL Comeback Player of the Year
After joining the Browns late in the season as a free agent, Joe Flacco proved instrumental down the stretch in helping the team reach the playoffs. That enabled Flacco to win Associated Press Comeback Player of the Year. Flacco called his few months with the Browns "truly special."
"Big thanks to the City of Cleveland and everyone in Cleveland. Thanks to my teammates for welcoming me to the locker room at that point in the year."

Bobby Wagner wins Art Rooney Award for Sportsmanship
Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner won the Art Rooney Award for Sportsmanship.
Ray Lewis pays tribute to Jim Brown ahead of NFL ‘In Memoriam’ montage
Nearly 90 minutes into the live broadcast, the program paid tribute to former NFL players who died in the past year. Hall of Famer Ray Lewis led off the “In Memoriam” segment with a tribute to Jim Brown, who died May 18, 2023.
A seven-man Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 introduced
The 2024 class for the Pro Football Hall of Fame was introduced — linebacker Randy Gradishar, linebacker Patrick Willis, receiver-return man Devin Hester, receiver Andre Johnson, edge rushers Dwight Freeney and Julius Peppers, and defensive tackle Steve McMichael.

49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is NFL Offensive Player of the Year
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey is Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year. He led the 49ers to the NFC title and a spot in the Super Bowl.
Browns coach Steven ... err ... Kevin Stefanski wins NFL Coach of the Year
The Browns collected their third award of the night when head coach Kevin Stefanski won Associated Press Coach of the Year. It's the second time he's won the award, having also won it in 2020.. He guided the Browns to the playoffs for the second time in four years, two of the team's only three playoff trips since returning to the NFL in 1999.
The presenter announcing the award initially called him "Steven Stefanski" before being corrected.

Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. wins NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year
Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. is the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year. The Texans swept the rookie of the year awards, with quarterback C.J. Stroud being named the top offensive rookie.
Myles Garrett of the Browns wins NFL Defensive Player of the Year
Browns defensive end Myles Garrett wins the Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year. He's the first Browns player to win the award. Garrett anchored a strong Browns defense that led the team back to the playoffs.
After thanking his parents, the Browns, his high school coach and others who've helped him for the years, Garrett turned his attention to his adopted hometown: "To the City of Cleveland, this one's for you. We're going to bring home something bigger next time. Let's go."

Ceedee Lamb of Dallas Cowboys wins NFL Moment of the Year
Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb won Moment of the Year for his 92-yard TD catch from Dak Prescott.
Former Ohio State star C.J. Stroud wins NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
The show got underway with Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud winning Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year. A year after starring for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Stroud guided the Texans to an AFC South Division title and then a first-round playoff win over the Browns.
Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz is NFL's Assistant Coach of the Year
A half hour before the live TV broadcast began, the Browns picked up their first award. Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz won the Assistant Coach of the Year award, voted on by the Associated Press.

The top awards handed out are voted on by the Associated Press. In addition to the ones the Browns are up for, the other awards include Offensive Player of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year. The NFL also will name its Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award, a top fan will be picked and many more. See the full list here.
When is the new Pro Football Hall of Fame class announced?
The Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2024 will be announced during NFL Honors. A list of 15 modern-era finalists was announced in December. Among those named a finalist are former San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates, Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne. The 2024 class will be enshrined this summer in Canton.
Who is the host of NFL Honors 2024?
Actor, producer and writer Keegan-Michael Key is hosting the NFL Honors for the third time. Past hosts have included Alec Baldwin, Kelly Clarkson, Steve Harvey and Conan O'Brien.
