Juwan Howard throws punch in postgame scuffle between Michigan, Wisconsin
Michigan basketball coach Juwan Howard put his hands on a Wisconsin assistant in the post-game handshake line following Saturday's 77-63 loss to Wisconsin, leading to a melee inside the Kohl Center. Players began pushing and shoving each other, which led to security getting involved.
Suspensions are expected. Fueled by another standout performance from Johnny Davis, 15th-ranked Wisconsin handled the Wolverines in the second half. Wisconsin (21-5, 12-4) held Michigan to a single field goal over a 10-minute stretch in the second half, turning a five-point deficit in a 15-point cushion inside the Kohl Center.
Davis scored a team-best 25 points as the Badgers have now won back-to-back games and five of their last seven and continue to show the NCAA Tournament's selection committee they're worthy of a quality seed. Wisconsin is in a three-way tie at the top of the Big Ten with Purdue and Illinois.
