Stranger Things opened the door for multiple opportunities for Joseph Quinn, and following his exit from the Netflix show, the actor joined two major film franchises. Season 4 of the science fiction horror series introduced viewers to Quinn as Eddie Munson, made them fall in love with him, and ripped him away in the finale. Eddie's death was undoubtedly one of the saddest in the show's history (which is saying a lot, given the number of deaths over the four seasons). But the bright side is that those who loved Quinn in Stranger Things can watch him in two highly-anticipated upcoming movies.

Of course, many hope Eddie is still alive and survived the demobats' attack in the Upside Down during the Stranger Things season 4 ending. Joseph Quinn is joining two notable franchises — A Quiet Place and the Marvel Cinematic Universe — in the next couple of years. Quinn plays Eric in A Quiet Place: Day One, the third installment in the A Quiet Place film series. The 2024 apocalyptic horror movie is directed and written by Michael Sarnoski and, as the title suggests, chronicles the early days of the extraterrestrial invasion, including when the creatures first arrived. Details about Eric are minimal, but the trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One teases Quinn's character.

Rumors surrounding casting for the MCU's Fantastic Four have been spreading across the internet for years, and one of the more recent reports was that Quinn would play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the film. Thankfully, Marvel put these rumors to rest and announced the main cast of Fantastic Four on February 14, 2024, and Quinn is indeed starring as Johnny in the highly-anticipated MCU project. Johnny is one of the founding members of the Fantastic Four, and his powers include pyrokinesis and flight. Before Quinn, Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan portrayed the Human Torch in live-action movies.
