Johnny Depp Doesn't Hold 'Any Ill Feelings Toward Anyone' Over Amber Heard Trial
Two years after the highly publicized court battle that Johnny Depp had with his ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor says that he doesn’t have any ill feelings towards anyone.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter to promote his new movie that he directed, Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, Depp responded to a recent statement that he made in which he said his life had turned into a “soap opera” in the midst of the court battle.
"Honestly, I can sit here this very second and think about all the hit pieces, and how everybody was against me, and yeah yeah yeah he is off the map … endless stuff. I can remember it all," said Depp. "Went through it all. Some of it was not the most beautiful time, some of it was hilarious. Some of it was mad."
Depp kept going to explain that he harbors no ill will to anyone about the experience. "The thing is, it simply just was, and it simply just is,” he added. “So, for me, it happened. I learned, man. Everything that we experience, whether you’re given a snow cone or walking your dog, you learn something somewhere along the way.”
"So I don’t have any ill feelings toward anyone,” he continued. “I don’t have this great reserve of hatred, because hatred requires caring. Why carry that baggage?"
One person that Depp apparently did have ill feelings towards was actress Lola Glaudini on the set of the 2001 film Blow. She revealed earlier this year on the Powerful Truth Angeles podcast that Depp allegedly berated her for laughing during a scene
“Johnny Depp, when they say cut, walks over to me, comes up to me, sticks his finger in my face and he goes, ‘Who the fuck do you think you are? Who the fuck do you think you are? Shut the fuck up,’” recalled Glaudini. “‘I’m out here, and I’m trying to fucking say my lines and you’re fucking pulling focus. You fucking idiot. Oh, now, oh now it’s not so funny? Now you can shut up? Now you can fucking shut the fuck up? The quiet that you are right now, that’s how you fucking stay.’”
Her recollection of the events, and the subsequent “non-apology apology” that he allegedly gave her later during that day’s shoot, caused Depp to issue a response through his representatives back in March.
“Johnny always prioritizes good working relationships with cast and crew and this recounting differs greatly from the recollection of other members on set at the time,” his reps said.
