Guy Carpenter names Ben Savill CEO of Pacific

Guy Carpenter, a global risk and reinsurance specialist and business of Marsh McLennan, has appointed Ben Savill as CEO of Pacific, effective from the 1st of April, 2024.

Savill holds more than 27 years of market experience, having most recently served as Chief Underwriting Offer of Convex Insurance in Bermuda.

Before that, he held various senior industry roles in Bermuda, including as Group CUO of Fidelis and Head of North American Treaty for Amlin, having started his career in London.

In his new role at Guy Carpenter, Savill will be based in Sydney and report to Tony Gallagher, CEO of Guy Carpenter Asia Pacific.

According to the firm, he will lead and manage its broking organisation in the Pacific region, while playing a crucial role in further developing its growth strategy and addressing the needs of clients in the region.

Meanwhile, Jeff Saper, who has served as CEO for the Pacific region since 2019, is set to take on the role of Head of GC Fac, Asia Pacific, and will relocate to Hong Kong.

Saper succeeds Luc Morement, who will assume the role of Regional Sales Leader, Asia Pacific, focused on further developing and growing Guy Carpenter’s strong position in the region.

Both positions will reportedly be effective from the 1st of July, 2024.
