Michigan vs. Georgia score: Live game coverage, Orange Bowl 2021 updates, College Football Playoff scores
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- No. 3 Georgia leads No. 2 Michigan 14-0 after the first quarter of the 2021 Orange Bowl. It was a quarter as close to perfect as Georgia could've desired as its offense scored on each of its two possessions, its defense shut down the Wolverines twice and quarterback Stetson Bennett IV completed his first eight passes of the game.
On the first series, Bennett looked to Brock Bowers multiple times, connecting with him on a 35-yard connection to move deep into Michigan territory and finishing the drive with a 9-yard touchdown. Michigan responded with a drive into Georgia territory, but after choosing to go on fourth-and-4, turned the ball over on downs. Georgia responded with a six-play drive that ended with a trick-play touchdown as running back Kenny McIntosh hit Adonai Mitchell for the score.
The second quarter begins with the Bulldogs driving looking to put this game away early. CBS Sports will be with you from kickoff through the final whistle of the second College Football Playoff semifinal.
