RIGHT OFF THE LOT

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for two people who went new car shopping, only without any intention of paying for the new ride.

According to police, a man and woman entered a car lot in the 3500 block of Riverdale Rd. on Feb. 10 and pretended like they wanted to purchase a 2018 Dodge Charger.

But, when the salesman handed the man the keys, he hopped in the Charger and took off, never returning and never making a plan to pay for his new ride, police said.

MPD said the woman followed him in a gray Chrysler four-door sedan.

Police are still trying to catch up with the car thieves. If you have any information about who they are or where the stolen car is, Memphis Police want you to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.

Any information that leads to an arrest, in this case, could be worth up to $2,000.
