Deji vs Alex Wassabi: Fan storms the ring as KSI's brother suffers third boxing defeat

Deji vs Alex Wassabi was the latest big fight in the world of YouTube boxing.

Ever since Joe Weller and Deji’s brother, KSI, slugged it out in February 2018, the world of online content creators stepping between the ropes has become as popular as it is wild and wacky.

With Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather having slugged it out and Jake Paul taking on a series of former UFC fighters, the sky really is the limit when it comes to influencers pulling on the gloves.

And there was plenty of interest when Deji attempted to score his first win in the square circle at Wembley Arena on Saturday night as part of the Showstar UK VS USA YouTube Boxing event.

The online British star with more than 10 million subscribers on YouTube had previously suffered defeats to Jake Paul and Vinnie Hacker for a disappointing record of 0-2.

And although he entered the ring this weekend looking in better shape than ever, Deji’s big moment was overshadowed by a worrying incident where a fan invaded the bout.

Fan invades the ring mid-fight

After around 90 seconds of the second round, everyone took a sharp intake of breath as an attendee burst between the ropes and ran towards the fighters out of absolutely nowhere.

The fan looked absolutely incensed and seemed to be shouting at the two fighters by the time that security apprehended him, thankfully without any serious danger having been posed.

The tussle that ensued – all while the fighters looked on bewildered – ultimately ended with the ring invader being bundled over the ropes in shocking scenes that you can watch down below:
