The field for the 2024-25 Canadian Olympic Mixed Doubles Curling Trials has been confirmed, with the event set to take place in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, from December 30, 2024, to January 4, 2025. The winning team will earn the right to represent Canada at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.

Among the 16 teams competing, two have previously medaled at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Laura Walker of Toronto, Ontario, and Kirk Muyres of St. Gregor, Saskatchewan, captured bronze at the 2018 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Ostersund, Sweden. Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer, Alberta, and Brett Gallant of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, claimed silver at the 2019 World Mixed Doubles Championship in Stavanger, Norway.

Four of the 16 teams have also won the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. Peterman and Gallant won in 2016 (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) and 2019 (Fredericton, New Brunswick). Walker and Muyres took the title in 2018 (Leduc, Alberta), while Canadian Olympic gold medalist Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Brent Laing of Meaford, Ontario, triumphed in 2023 (Sudbury, Ontario). Kadriana and Colton Lott of Selkirk, Manitoba, won the 2024 championship in Fredericton. Jones earned a gold medal in women’s curling at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.

The remaining 12 teams include Rachel Homan of Ottawa, Ontario, and Brendan Bottcher of Edmonton, Alberta; Lisa Weagle of Ottawa, Ontario, and John Epping of Toronto; Nancy Martin of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, and Steve Laycock of Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Brittany Tran of Red Deer, Alberta, and Rylan Kleiter of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; Jennifer Armstrong of Saint John, New Brunswick, and Tyrel Griffith of Calgary, Alberta; Riley Sandham of St. Catharines, Ontario, and Brendan Craig of Guelph, Ontario; Taylor Reese-Hanson and Corey Chester of Victoria, British Columbia; Anne-Sophie Gionest of Alma, Quebec, and Robert Desjardins of Montreal, Quebec; Melissa Adams of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, and Alex Robichaud of Fredericton; Jaelyn Cotter and Jim Cotter of Kamloops, British Columbia; Jessica Zheng and Victor Pietrangelo of Niagara Falls, Ontario; and Paige Papley and Evan Van Amsterdam of Edmonton.

In a first for the Olympic Winter Games, curlers are now eligible to compete in both mixed doubles and traditional four-person curling events at the 2026 Games in Italy.
