No plan to ban cellphones in Alberta classrooms just yet
Quebec students returned from the Christmas holidays this week to find out they can no longer use cellphones in the classroom unless approved by a teacher for educational purposes. Alberta doesn't plan to do the same just yet.
While some provinces are implementing bans on cellphones in classrooms, Alberta is not following suit at this time. Students in Alberta can continue to use their cellphones in the classroom, as long as they are being used for educational purposes and with the approval of their teacher. This approach allows for flexibility and recognizes the potential benefits of technology in the classroom.
