Titomic 3D print machine bought by US university

The University of North Texas (UNT) has bought a Titomic Kinetic Fusion Cold Spray additive manufacturing system to expand R&D and advanced manufacturing capabilities at its Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing (CAAAM).

The sale for approximately $1.1 million was chosen from a range of cold spray providers to design and install this specialised system, reflecting the company’s expertise in cold spray system design, specification, and implementation, according to a statement.

“The system is expected to support UNT’s educational objectives, drive advanced research and development initiatives, and enhance collaborations with local industry, reinforcing the institution’s role as a hub of innovation in additive manufacturing.

“Titomic’s partnership with UNT continues our strategic goal to advance our technology with academic institutions across the world.

“This partnership provides Titomic with increased visibility and validation in the US market, contributing to the company’s expanding footprint and affirming the reliability and effectiveness of Titomic’s high-pressure cold spray solutions.”

UNT joins a group of US partners, including Triton Systems USA, OMIC R&D, the US Navy’s NAVSEA, as well as organisations utilising Titomic’s systems for their high-performance applications.

Titomic is focused on cold spray technology across the aerospace, defence, marine, and research sectors.
