Though Serie A teams are half way through gameweek 30, there will be no matches played on Easter Sunday, as is customary in the Italian division.

All four of the other ‘top five’ divisions in Europe, namely the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 all have matches scheduled as usual on Sunday, Serie A players and coaches will be afforded a rare day off.

Serie A traditionally likes to take public holidays off, particularly around Christmas and Easter. Therefore, there will be no matches played until 11:30 GMT on Easter Monday, when Bologna host Salernitana at the Dall’Ara.

The boxing day fixtures around the winter period have occasionally been moved around slightly to accommodate the holidays, but Easter Sunday is a strict no-go in Italy.

Some sides will not have too much of a break as they prepare for their matches on Monday.

Those include the aforementioned Bologna and Salernitana, as well as Cagliari and Hellas Verona, Sassuolo and Udinese, Lecce and Roma, as well as the league leaders Inter and Empoli, who will conclude the 30th round of fixtures in San Siro, kicking off at 19.45 GMT.

Join us again on Monday for all of the latest updates, live coverage and post-match reaction from all of Serie A’s biggest fixtures.
