Old Firm cup final chaos fears as Scotrail warns of major train disruption today...
SCOTRAIL passengers are set to face rail disruption today sparking Old Firm Cup final fears over travel chaos.
Celtic and Rangers fans heading to Hampden for this afternoon's League Cup final may find disruptions to train services as they trek across the country to Glasgow's southside.
The train operator issued a warning to all customers last night to check journeys before travelling as there will be a number of cancellations to services.
This is due to the availability of train drivers for rest day work due to the "particularly challenging" weekend and the Christmas period.
ScotRail said: "Where possible replacement buses for some of the cancelled services are being arranged, and there will be ticket acceptance in place where possible."
The slashed services come on a day when thousands of people are expected to flock to Scotland's busiest city.
