Brittany and Patrick Mahomes share a chaotic kitchen moment during Chiefs bye week
The first five games for the NFL back-to-back champions has gone as expected, despite injuries to three star offensive players. With Patrick Mahomes throwing six touchdown passes and six interceptions, the Chiefs are 5-0 for the fifth time in franchise history. However, as a potential bad omen, in the four previous instances this century (2003, 2013, 2017, 2018), the Chiefs did not make it to the Super Bowl. Kansas City is now one of two remaining undefeated teams in the NFL (along with the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings), and both teams will soon enjoy a well-deserved bye week. The Chiefs will return to action on October 20 in a highly anticipated Super Bowl rematch against the San Francisco 49ers.
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes enjoying the Chiefs bye week
Brittany Mahomes, co-owner of Kansas City Current and wife of NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomes, recently shared a happy family moment on social media. Brittany cooked a family dinner for the first time in a long time and joked about the resulting mess in the kitchen. During the Chiefs' bye week, Mahomes and his family enjoyed a moment of relaxation, as Pat's schedule was for sure busy in the past months between pre-season vacations, training camp, commercials, social events and now the NFL season. Brittany, who is currently pregnant with their third child, posted a picture of their cluttered kitchen, full of bowls, plates and Pat with appliances broadcasting the 49ers' win last night.
He proudly mentioned that his dinner was a success despite the mess, adding that his children were entertained by the Bluey show while Patrick watched the TNF game between their next opponents and the Seattle Seahawks. Although she didn't specify what food she had prepared, it was clear that her efforts had been well received as one of the plates was completely empty. Brittany shared her excitement at being able to cook again, saying: "This is our life and I love it". She also posted a video of her daughter Sterling in her highchair with an almost empty plate, showing that the meal was enjoyed by the whole family. Brittany's post gave fans a glimpse into her daily life as she juggles family, sports and home life.
As mentioned above, the next game for the Kansas City Chiefs will be on Sunday the 20th against the San Francisco 49ers (3-3), a rematch of the last Super Bowl where the Chiefs were crowned champions in the final seconds of overtime. The Chiefs have had a few more days to prepare for the game than the 49ers, plus Andy Reid has a 21-4 record coming off a bye week, will it be the Chiefs first loss or will the 49ers win back-to-back games for the first time this season? either way this is the most anticipated game of the season and why not a preview of Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.
