N.S. woman and 3-year-old boy found dead, days after going missing

The RCMP say a 36-year-old woman and a three-year-old boy have been found dead three days after they went missing.

The Mounties said Holly Jean Cooper and Lucas Robert Cooper were last seen on Ruth Falls Road in Ruth Falls, near Sheet Harbour, at around 2 a.m on Saturday.

A news release Tuesday afternoon said Holly Jean Cooper, of Ruth Falls, has been found deceased.

Shortly after, another release said the boy's body was found near where the woman was found.

Police said the deaths are not believed to be suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.
