Peacemaker DLC and Krossplay rumored to be delayed for Mortal Kombat 1
Omni-Man and Quan Chi of Mortal Kombat 1's Kombat Pack have already been released. The next character we're waiting on is Peacemaker from DC Comics.
There have been murmurs from a certain leaker suggesting that the Peacemaker DLC and the Krossplay patch have been delayed. This delay is supposedly a result of NetherRealm Studios having a difficult time fixing the desync issues that have been plaguing Mortal Kombat 1.
This rumor comes from FateUnknown on Reddit, a "verified insider" that has previously predicted Mortal Kombat 1 news. FateUnknown noted that the desync issue response has likely caused Peacemaker and the Krossplay update to be delayed by "a few weeks."
"From what I am hearing there is a very good chance Peacemaker will be delayed a few weeks to give the team time," stated FateUnknown. "The desync issue took a lot of time and resources to fix, so a delay is looking likely."
With this, FateUnknown also indicated that Peacemaker and the Krossplay update are being packaged together. "Yes. crossplay is coming with Peacemaker, so if Peacemaker is delayed [then] so is crossplay," continued FateUnknown in response to a question regarding his statements.
It should be noted that it was only previously indicated that Peacemaker was scheduled to release sometime in February 2024. If Peacemaker really is only being delayed by two weeks, it's possible that NetherRealm Studios may just barely be able to make this release window.
However, there does actually appear to be some evidence suggesting that this delay has in fact happened. By logging into Mortal Kombat 1, some players have noticed that the Invasions season has been extended by 14 days, which is two weeks exactly.
In other words, the "Season 3: The Cryomancer" Invasions season will now end in 22 days rather than in eight days. For those that have not yet completed the third season of Invasions still have a chance to do so.
Of course, it should be noted that this sort of delay did not occur with the first and second seasons. Needless to say, this seems to be evidence supporting FateUnknown's statement about delays with Mortal Kombat 1's DLC and additional content.
Knowing this now, it would seem that looking at when Invasions seasons are scheduled to end could be used as a predictor for future DLC. The running theory right now is that Season 4 of Invasions will be announced to correspond with the release of Peacemaker and the Krossplay update.
Unfortunately, this likely means that we'll also have to wait longer for future DLC including the recently announced story expansion as NetherRealm Studios is now apparently behind schedule.
Peacemaker and Crossplay have been officially delayed. The countdown has been increased by exactly 14 days (2 weeks). The current release date for Season 4 & Peacemaker is February 27/28.

The reasoning behind the #Peacemaker delay was
“Desync fix took a lot of time & resources.”
Leaker, FateUnknown was right YET AGAIN after coming out & telling us almost less than 24 hours ago. He is right, time after time again!! ???? pic.twitter.com/eX9elTcwpF
