The Milwaukee Bucks dominated East Group B, defeating the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors and Indiana Pacers to advance to the knockout round with a 4-0 record and a plus-50 point differential.
In the quarterfinals, they faced the Orlando Magic and won 114-109. The Bucks then eliminated the Atlanta Hawks in the semifinals with a 110-102 victory.
In the championship game, the Bucks faced the Thunder, the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Milwaukee thoroughly outplayed OKC, clinching their most decisive victory in the knockout round.

After being presented the 2024 NBA Cup MVP trophy, Giannis Antetokounmpo shared his thoughts on the recognition, emphasizing that his focus was on helping his team win the championship rather than collecting individual accolades.
“When you approach a game like this, you’re not thinking about MVPs. You’re thinking about trying to win the game,” Antetokounmpo saidp(per NBA reporter Steve Aschburner). “And sometimes when you try to do whatever it takes, you put yourself in position to be successful and you’re able to get a trophy like that.
“I don’t know why I got the MVP. I’m happy that I got it. I don’t take it for granted. I’m most happy we got to win the game. Some of my teammates got life-changing money.”
The Milwaukee Bucks had a rough start to the 2024-25 NBA season but now hold a top-five spot in the Eastern Conference.
