Arch lifts 10 year veteran to top claims role
Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, has lifted an insider to lead the claims function after more than 10 years with the company.
Barbara Rizzi has been appointed as chief claims officer and will be responsible for leading the claims function and strategy of Arch Insurance International including the London Market, UK Regional Market, Australia and the EU.
Based in London, she will report to Kirsten Valder, deputy chief executive officer (CEO), Arch Insurance International.
Rizzi joined Arch in 2013 and was most recently head of third-party claims. She has over 20 years’ experience in claims management and legal practice. Prior to joining Arch, Rizzi worked for various law firms, including Clyde & Co LLP and Kennedys Law LLP, specialising in insurance law. Rizzi is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales, and Italy.
Rizzi also serves as the co-chair of Arch’s UK Women & Allies Network, which aims to support career advancement for women at Arch through networking, mentorship and sponsorship.
