CP NewsAlert: Nova Scotia Liberal Leader Iain Rankin wins Timberlea-Prospect riding

Nova Scotia Liberal Leader Iain Rankin has won the riding of Timberlea-Prospect but his party has lost the provincial election.

Rankin had replaced then-premier Stephen McNeil in February as Liberal leader and failed to secure a third consecutive mandate for the party.

He was first elected to the legislature in 2013 and was re-elected in 2017.
