UFC Boss Dana White Explains Why Conor McGregor Hasnt Been
Dana White dishes on why Conor McGregor hasn't been booked.

UFC CEO Dana White has detailed why Conor McGregor hasn't been scheduled for a fight since his 2021 injury.

McGregor has expressed frustration over not having a fight in nearly three years. While the "Notorious" one has expressed loyalty to the UFC, he recently told Ariel Helwani on "The MMA Hour" that he doesn't know how the promotion would approach him with an enticing offer now that his stock has grown even further.

Dana has shared his reasoning for not having a fight lined up for Conor McGregor.

During an appearance on "Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru & Henry," Dana White made it clear that he isn't misguiding the former two-division UFC champion.

"There is no lack of communication, not at all," White insisted.

White then discussed Conor McGregor's ongoing media tour to promote the "Road House" movie, which launched on Prime Video on March 21st.

"He has obligations right now to promote this movie," White said. "So, he's been flying all over the world going to all the premieres of this launch of this movie. This is an obligation that he has to do."

The UFC boss believes it would've been near impossible for McGregor to prepare for a fight while in the middle of touring duties for a Hollywood film.

"It is what it is. He committed to this movie, he has obligations to this movie, he can't do both."

"I don't know what his obligations are once it launches, then Conor can get back in the gym and start training," White said. "Like full time, getting ready for a camp."

The UFC boss did give fight fans some hope, as he revealed he can start discussing what next for the Irish superstar very soon.

"Once this is over he can get back into full-time training, which means from Thursday on we can start talking about fights for Conor."
