Conor McGregor 'nervous' about mum watching x-rated scenes in his new movie

Conor McGregor nervous about mum watching xrated scenes in his new movie
Conor McGregor is set to make his movie debut in the remake of the 80s cult classic Road House alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and has opened up about how he feels about his family watching the flick

Conor McGregor is feeling a bit jittery about his mum watching his bold scenes in the new movie Road House. The famous fighter is stepping into the acting world with a role in the film alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.

Critics are already saying Conor's done a smashing job playing a baddie who takes on Gyllenhaal's character. But there's a bit in the film that The Notorious is not too keen on his family, especially his five kids, seeing, reports the Irish Star.

"Obviously, they [his five children] can't watch and never will, to be honest," he shared. "I'm nervous about my mother seeing it."

He's particularly worried about one scene that might shock his mum at the big premiere on March 8. He spilled the beans: "I have my mother coming in for the premiere tomorrow and she has no idea! I'm a bit nervous about it but excited."

Talking about a rough-and-tumble fight scene, Conor said: "He had a multitude of stunt guys and they got f***ed up, they actually got f***ed up and they wanted me to f*** them up. There was like spinning back kicks to the ribs and the director was like, 'No go again! '"

"I was like, the guy's on the f***ing floor here! But it was a great experience."

The movie tells the story of ex-UFC fighter Dalton, played by Gyllenhaal, who becomes a bouncer at a roadhouse in Florida Keys. McGregor plays the bad guy that Dalton has to confront.

This is the first time the Dublin-born actor has appeared on the big screen, and many have said his role is the "best surprise" about the film. Gyllenhaal and McGregor became "dear friends" while making the movie.

The Guardian praised McGregor's performance, saying: "McGregor, it turns out, is a natural at playing a devilishly flamboyant villain, at times stealing the show from a more grounded Gyllenhaal."

Variety even called McGregor's first film role "stunning". They said: "Thick-bearded and bulky-chested, with gleaming white teeth, he makes Knox move around like a gorilla on pep pills, and the exuberance of his homicidal fury could be out of a "Mad Max" film."

Road House will be available only on Amazon Prime Video from March 21.
